The event put on by two neighborhood moms to promote health and fitness was a huge success! 165 joyful kids ages 3-12 showed up July 16th to run, bike and swim their way to the finish line. We are also proud to be able to build in a community that comes together with fellow neighbors to offer amazing experiences for their children. Who knows…there may be a future summer Olympian found in these photos. Check out all the details on their website.
A new event makes the list for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital fundraising efforts in 2011. In conjunction with their contracting partners, Berkeley Building Company, a local Idaho home builder, will be auctioning off a luxury appointed children’s playhouse during this year’s Parade of Homes in benefit of the local charity. Open to the public, the silent online auction will occur throughout the Parade of Homes, April 30th through May 15th. The playhouse will be available for viewing and tour during the Parade’s operational hours at Berkeley Building’s Parade Home in the Tuscany New Home Community in Meridian, Idaho. The silent online auction will be hosted at www.BerkeleyBuildingCo.com and will end at 6 PM on May 15, 2011 (Mountain Time).

Berkeley Building Co. President, Joe Atalla, was inspired by the success of Home Aid’s “Project Playhouse” in California. “I hope that this year’s event acts as a catalyst that will transform into a large annual fundraising event for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and will include participation of Home Builder’s throughout the Treasure Valley. It’s a great way for us to marry our talents and resources for a great cause in our community.”

And this isn’t your childhood playhouse. With donations from local suppliers and contractors, Berkeley Building has designed an 8’ x 10’, Tudor-style jewel box, fully furnished and ready to make a child’s dream come true. More details about the playhouse’s appointments will be released as they get closer to unveiling.

For more information contact Joe Atalla at 208-407-1413.

*Berkeley Building Co. is a local Treasure Valley Home Builder whose company was founded with the mission of “more thought per square foot”.
